6kW Solar Inverter Price in Pakistan 2026

6kW Solar Inverter Price in Pakistan 2026

6kW has quietly become the default size for Pakistani homes. Not because anyone planned it that way, but because it happens to sit exactly where three things line up: it runs two inverter ACs, it matches the panel count that fits an average rooftop, and it covers the electricity bill that most middle-income families are now staring at.

The price question is messier than the sizing question. A 6kW inverter in this market costs anywhere from Rs. 116,000 to Rs. 285,000, and the buyers who overpay are usually the ones who assumed the number on the label was the whole story.

What a 6kW Inverter Actually Runs

Dealers love to imply a 6kW inverter runs your whole house at once. It does not. No inverter does. What it gives you is comfortable normal living with sensible load management.

Realistic simultaneous load at 6kW:

ApplianceApproximate Draw
1.5-ton inverter AC1,200 – 1,500W each
Refrigerator200 – 350W
Deep freezer200 – 300W
10 ceiling fans500 – 700W
LED lighting throughout150 – 250W
Washing machine500 – 2,000W (intermittent)
Water pump (1HP)750W running, 2,500W surge
Iron1,000 – 1,500W

Two 1.5-ton inverter ACs plus fridge, freezer, fans and lights lands around 4kW to 4.5kW. That leaves headroom for a pump or a washing machine, but not for both plus an iron plus a third AC.

Non-inverter ACs change the maths badly. Their compressors draw two to three times running current at startup. Two conventional ACs starting within seconds of each other can trip a 6kW inverter that would handle the same two inverter units without complaint.

Panel Sizing for a 6kW Inverter

Panels should exceed the inverter rating. This surprises people, but it is how you get usable winter output.

Standard configuration: 12 to 14 panels of 550W to 620W, giving 6.6kW to 8.7kW of DC capacity.

With a 200% oversizing inverter: up to 12kW of panels on a 6kW unit. Models like the Crown Nexus 6kW support this.

Why oversize? Because a panel array rated 6kW delivers 6kW for maybe two hours on a perfect June day and considerably less the rest of the time. In December haze or January fog in Punjab, output can drop 50% to 60%. An oversized array keeps you generating usable power through those months instead of trickling. The inverter clips the excess in summer and you barely notice.

Roof space needed is roughly 350 to 450 square feet for a 6.6kW to 8kW array, more if you are working around water tanks, stairwells or shading obstacles.

Full System Cost for a 6kW Setup

The inverter is 15% to 25% of what you actually spend.

ComponentCost Range (PKR)
6kW hybrid inverter116,000 – 285,000
12–14 panels (550W–620W)280,000 – 420,000
Mounting structure30,000 – 80,000
DC/AC cabling, breakers, SPD20,000 – 45,000
Earthing8,000 – 20,000
Installation labour12,000 – 25,000
Net metering application15,000 – 45,000
Subtotal without storage481,000 – 920,000

Batteries sit on top of that and are the most volatile line item in the whole budget. Lithium pricing changes almost weekly, so publishing a figure here would mislead you. WhatsApp us now for the latest price of the battery at 03192070022.

On-Grid or Hybrid at 6kW?

This is the real decision, and it comes down to how often your power goes out.

Go on-grid if outages are rare, you have no interest in backup, and you want the fastest payback. A 6kW on-grid unit at Rs. 170,000 to Rs. 180,000 with panels, structure and net metering will typically pay for itself in three to four years for a household in the higher tariff slabs.

Go hybrid if load shedding is a regular feature of your week. You pay more, and batteries push the payback out, but the system keeps working when the grid does not. In most of Pakistan this is the choice people make and do not regret.

The middle option nobody mentions: buy a hybrid, run it battery-free initially with net metering, and add storage later when you are ready. Many hybrid models support battery-free operation. You pay the hybrid premium up front and defer the expensive part.

Our hybrid inverter price in Pakistan guide covers that decision across every capacity, not just 6kW.

Generation and Savings

A 6kW system with 7kW of panels on a decent roof in Punjab or Sindh produces roughly:

  • Clear summer day: 26 to 32 units
  • Average across the year: 20 to 26 units daily
  • December and January: 12 to 18 units daily
  • Monthly average: 650 to 800 units

For a household consuming 800 to 1,000 units monthly, that covers most of the bill and, more importantly, drops you out of the punishing upper tariff slabs. The slab movement often saves more than the raw unit count suggests.

Dust matters more than people expect. An unwashed array in Lahore or Multan can lose 15% to 25% of output within weeks during dry season. Rinse the panels monthly and you get that back.

Features Worth Paying For at 6kW

Dual MPPT. Lets you split east and west roof faces, or separate a shaded string from a clear one. If your roof is not a single clean plane, this pays for itself.

Input current of 18A or higher. Necessary if you are buying modern 580W to 620W panels. Older 12A trackers start limiting you.

Dual output. Splits your circuits into heavy and essential. During a night outage the inverter drops the ACs and keeps fans, lights, fridge and router running. Backup lasts hours instead of minutes. This one feature changes how the system feels to live with.

Lithium BMS communication. Even if you start with lead-acid, buy the inverter that can talk to a lithium pack. Retrofitting means replacing the inverter.

IP66 if it goes outside. Not optional in dusty or coastal areas. Dust in the heat sink is the leading cause of inverter death in Pakistan.

Parallel capability. If there is any chance of expansion, buy a model that can run in parallel with additional units rather than being replaced.

Five Mistakes People Make Buying a 6kW System

Sizing to today’s load. A 6kW system that exactly covers your current usage becomes inadequate the moment a new AC arrives or a family member moves back home. Leave 20% headroom or accept that you will be adding capacity later at a worse price.

Matching panel capacity to inverter capacity. Six kilowatts of panels on a 6kW inverter looks tidy and performs badly in winter. Oversize the array.

Choosing an IP21 unit for a semi-outdoor position. A covered veranda is not indoors. Dust and humidity still reach the enclosure. Match the protection rating to where the box will physically sit, not to your intentions.

Saving money on cable and earthing. This is the reliable way to destroy an expensive inverter. Undersized DC cable heats up, voltage drops, and the unit runs stressed for years before it fails. Proper earthing and surge protection cost a fraction of a replacement inverter.

Not asking about the surge rating duration. Every brochure lists a surge figure. Almost none list how long the unit sustains it. Two seconds and five seconds are completely different when a deep-freezer compressor or a water pump kicks in. Ask.

Two 1.5-ton inverter ACs, yes, along with normal household load. Two non-inverter ACs plus a pump starting simultaneously, no.

Twelve to fourteen panels of 550W to 620W in a standard configuration. Models supporting 200% oversizing accept up to about 12kW of DC input.

For most 10 marla homes with two ACs, yes. Larger homes with three or more ACs should look at 8kW.

Around Rs. 116,000 for a Crown Yorker 6kW IP21, suitable for indoor installation only.

Typically Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 45,000 for a household in the higher tariff slabs, depending on consumption pattern and whether you have net metering.

Only if you want backup during outages. Net metering alone works without storage, and many hybrid models run battery-free until you add a bank later.
